The staff of Med inStyle is all composed by pet lovers. We are event and wedding designer who share their lives with four paws friends. Alessandra has 5 cats and a dog! When we talk about tie the knot, she couldn’t imagine anything better than have her pets close at hand. Not for fashion, just for love.
Would you ever leave your best friend at home in the most important day of your life?
Have you always dreamed about your dog bringing the wedding rings to the altar?
If you want your four paws friends be guests of honour as family members at your wedding, let’s do it together!
Your pets can simply stand during the ceremony or they can have a specific role.
There are plenty of ways to incorporate your pets into the big day, decked out in blinged collars and coordinating leashes: at the reception, include photos of your pet on your table number cards, or make your wedding favors in tribute to your beloved pooch. The cake toppers can be in the shape of all of you togheter.
Some people even propose together with their best friend
or create a funny and unique Save the Date card
It’s no surprise that many couples opt to include their pets in their weddings. “A pet plays an important role in a couple’s life and for many pet parents, family festivities would not be complete without their pet’s involvement,” said John D’Ariano, President of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS). Just remember that they’re not a puppet, so you must take care of their needs.
To make sure that your pet will be at ease, consider hiring a pet sitter, who will be responsible for feeding and looking after your four paws friends.
Don’t forget to tell people about your special guests so they can bring their pets as well and anyone with allergies can plan accordingly.
Of course, dogs and cats aren’t the only pets you can include! Can you imagine yourself riding toward the love of your life?
